This phone is half Essential and half iPhone 8

Hundreds of leaks and rumors have been going around the internet regarding the new iPhone 8 look. Most of them say it will be packed with a vertical dual-camera setup and will have no home button. We already have enough data to create dummy models that were shown in these tech YouTube videos provided from MKBHD and Unbox Therapy. After that more and more pictures have been leaked on the internet and people are just hyped. We can tell that the front of the iPhone 8 will look something like this:

Based on the picture we can also tell that there will be multiple cameras or sensor’s at the top but since the cutout is super long and wide we wonder how the time will be displayed.

Today, the Japanese Corporation, Sharp announced a new phone called the Sharp Aquos S2.

The Front

The design of the phone really gives a good idea of how the next phones might look like. The front design of the phone is a great resemblance of the Essential Phone that was announced 2 months ago by the creator of Android, Andy Rubin. This phone was the first to promote an idea that hasn’t really been seen on phones currently in the market. Andy presented the idea of a full display that is edge to edge and will have only a small cutout in the front, for the single camera. The only thing different in this case is the new Sharp phone has a home button right below their logo. It has a 5.5-inch 2K screen that wraps around the front camera cutout.

A typical phone has a screen that would completely have perfect corners but some reason Sharp has chosen to cut off the S2’s corners. Sadly, the bottom of the phone will not be offering a headphone jack as shown in the pictures and we are also not expecting it in the iPhone 8 again just like how we saw with the iPhone 7.

The Back

The back of the phone has something that everyone is expecting which is the camera. The back offers a dual-camera setup, with two f/1.75 lenses, placed vertically in the corner of the phone with the flash beneath them, just like what we have seen in the iPhone 8. But this doesn’t mean that Sharp is borrowing the idea from both companies whose phone hasn’t been on the market. The phone just represents the middle of what a phone will look like in the near future.

Just like iPhone 8, the phone will come in two models but they are not different in sizes. The difference between them is the storage and performance. The “standard edition” has a Snapdragon 630 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage, and the “high edition” has a Snapdragon 660 processor, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. Both models have a 3,020mAh battery and a fingerprint sensor. They appear to be on sale in China only, with pricing starting at ¥2499, or about $373 USD which is much cheaper than most smartphones for those living in the United States

This is a great product to visualize how the next iPhone will look like and we hope to see even better and new pictures on the internet that might take us one more step closer to the final design of the iPhone 8.
