E3 2017 Day 1 and 2 Recap and Analysis

It’s finally the E3 weekend and game development companies such as EA and Bethesda have already shown live gameplay of their upcoming games that will be available on XBOX, PS4, and PC. Currently, Bethesda is unveiling their new trailers of the game that will be coming later in the year such as Wolfenstein: The New Colossus. As always, these game are going to be great and we all will be looking forward to playing them. But today I want to talk specifically about and EA and Bethesda.

Day 1

Yesterday, EA officially unveiled their new Star Wars Battlefront II game with a trailer. On top of that, we got tons of gameplay videos from a bunch of YouTubers who attended the conference such as StarWars HQ, IGN and more. We are really happy to see what EA has been up to since the past few months and we can come to the conclusion that they have been doing a brilliant job of developing the game for the community. To go further into detail on the topic of Star Wars Battlefront II, I will be writing a separate article so stay tuned for that. EA also unveiled their new sports games that will be available in the months to come such as Madden 18 and FIFA 18. They also announced their new Need For Speed Game called Need For Speed: Payday which has the same story that we had way back in the previous Need For Speed but it didn’t turn out that great. The game definitely tries to match Need For Speed Rivals which came out back in 2013 and believe it or not I still play that game a lot because it is just fun wrecking and busting cops and racers. Last year, EA released their then new game, Battlefield 1 and after the wait of almost a full year, EA officially announced the new DLC content that will be added to the game later in the year.

Besides that, EA didn’t really announce anything else but I feel like this was enough because EA has really been investing tons of time in the new Battlefront II looks because the reviews for their first one was terrible and by terrible I mean ridiculous. We can’t wait for EA to release all of these new games because they are one of the best games that can be created so it will bring a lot of hype in the community.

Day 2

Today Microsoft and later throughout the day, Bethesda stole the spotlight. At around 2 in the afternoon, Microsoft held their press conference where fans and gamers were excited about Microsft’s new powerful console that will be shipping later at the end of the year. Microsoft claims it is the world’s most powerful console which is true. The new Xbox One X will be packed with killer specs, that is because it runs their new Scorpio Engine which is powerful enough to run games at true 4K resolution (3840 x 2160) at up to 60fps. The console was rumored to be a far more powerful than Sony’s new, fully 4K-capable PS4 Pro before official specs were available. And now we know that to be true. Along with that Sea of Thieves, Forza 7 which will be packed with 700 cars, Assasin Creed Origins which takes place in Egypt, Crackdown 3 and Anthem created by the same people who created Mass Effect which will have jetpacks. The Xbox One X will cost $499, a hundred dollars more than the PlayStation 4 Pro.

Later at around 9 pm, Bethesda held their noon press conference where they also released a couple of gameplay trailers of games such as Wolfenstein, Doom and Fallout VR, The Evil Within Us 2, Dishonored, The Elder Scrolls Online DLC Stuff. What I mainly want to talk about is Wolfenstein. They will be calling the new Wolfenstein II called The New Colossus (Yes, they changed the name). Apparently, BJ Blazkowicz survived the end of The New Order, along with a surprising number of the main cast from the first game such as Anya and Fergus. Bethesda showed off a fair chunk of the game in their big trailer and It’s going to be out in October on all consoles besides Switch. If you want to watch the trailer then you can watch it down here.

And that is all it for today were are hoping to see more awesome games tomorrow by Ubisoft and later Sony. We will hopefully see a new console so stay tuned for that.
